Philips High School is a co-educational 11-16 comprehensive school of over 860 pupils. The school is designated as seven-form entry. The admission limit for new pupils to join the school in September 2010 is 176. The School’s philosophy is founded on a belief in respect, traditional values, courtesy, self-discipline, hard work and the rewarding of excellence. Expectations are high; pupils and teachers’ work together in a secure atmosphere, which is caring, stimulating, demanding and enjoyable. Contact with parents is valued, and the Headteacher is available by appointment or telephone call to discuss any matters relating to the school, or the progress and welfare of individual pupils.
